Hi! I’m a Helsinki-based architect focused on regenerative urbanism and ecological advocacy.
As a part of the You Tell Me Collective, I’m currently designing urban plans that protect old-growth forests. These so called shadow plans out of which our Stansvik plan is already published, provide decision-makers with alternative solutions to proposals that jeopardize valuable urban nature spaces. The project is titled Elonkirjon kaupunki (The Biodiversity City) and is funded by The Kone Foundation.
I also practice architectural design at Skammi architects, a studio focused on circular economy-driven housing solutions. This year, I’m teaching at the Estonian Academy of Arts and the Museum of Finnish Architecture on how to make more-than-human stakeholders visible in urban planning, drawing from an ongoing workshop series called River Assemblies which was first organised in Sheffield in 2023 as part of European Architectue Students Assembly (EASA Commons).
